The 60's Oval "C" neck shape is super comfortable, and is capped with a beautiful piece of AAA rosewood for the fretboard (sorted to to find the darkest piece on hand). Its hardness and density are quite moderate for an ebony.Īnother feature that you'll be sure to notice is the roasted neck, made out of rock-solid quartersawn maple. Grains can be straight, wavy or irregular its texture is fine, with a nice natural luster. ![]() Both the volume and pattern of its lines are unpredictable, varying greatly from piece to piece. (It’s also one of its most sought-after.) The wood is known for the bold jet black ink lines which adorn its creamy base. Pale Moon Ebony is one of the world’s most difficult, perplexing exotic wood - and, at times, one of its most visually stunning. The final result blew us away when it landed. The NOS lacquer finish makes the wood pop out, especially with black binding to frame the body perfectly. The lightweight Black Limba body is topped with a gorgeous Pale Moon Ebony top - that's the main calling card of this guitar. This is the first to arrive, and we couldn't be happier. Only 6 will be made, each with a different exotic top. From that, we chose 6 different pieces, for an exclusive run of Tele Customs. We were taken into the wood vault, escorted by Fender's "Wood Czar" to go through their finest collection of wood spreads. For this take on a classic 60's era Tele, we went a step further - going to the Custom Shop in Corona, CA to hand select the wood for a exclusive run of guitars. We at Truetone Music are always looking to come up with something you haven't seen before, especially when in partnership with Fender. Exclusive Pale Moon Ebony 1960 Telecaster Custom
